Our communities must be safe and welcoming for everyone. I’ve worked to ensure responsible policing, emergency preparedness, and investments in prevention programs. Serving on the Renton City Council and the Renton Regional Fire Authority Board, I’ve helped craft policies that support first responders and improve community safety. I have supported increased funding to hire and train additional police officers, equip them with body-worn cameras for transparency, and expand mental health navigator programs to better respond to crises. Additionally, I have voted to allocate more resources for mental health and substance addiction treatment to help individuals find stability and exit homelessness. On King County Council, I will continue to prioritize community and public safety to hold offenders accountable while expanding programs that address the root causes of crime and ensure a safer, more supportive community for all.
